This photo is to suggest that drinking with daddy isn't the only thing she likes to do - Nanner is a scholar too. |
This post is way overdue. Or maybe the more correct statement is that daddy has done way too much drinking with the Nanner over the past year.
In reverse order, the following depicts all of the Drinking With Daddy that the Nanner and I have enjoyed together (if you're thinking about calling DCFS, remember that I am very good at Photoshop...get-you-out-of-a-moving-traffic-violation good at photoshop)
And on a side note, the frequency of DWD days had an inverse correlation to the amount of sleep she was getting at night (notice all of the photos where I'm wearing sunglasses).
w58 - John's Place |
**parents' note: John's Place has a great kids scene before 6:30. Definitely a place to avoid before then if you don't have kids.

w19 - Volo |
** parents' note: Volo does not have a good kids scene...unless you know the guy pouring the wine.
We are at a bar watching NASCAR but no - I do not beat my child. Nanner had just woken up from a long nap in the Baby Bjorn which caused that unfortunate mark on her face.

w18 - Riverview Tavern |
** parents' note: Riverview has a back room especially for families - but if you're in early on a Sunday (but who goes to the bar and wants to watch NASCAR anyway?), bar seating is the way to go.
Yep - two DWD's in one weekend.
Home of the famous moose and bear. Buddy-bear!
Bad Apple was actually Nanner's grandma's idea.

w18 - Chateau Duffy |

w17 - Will's Northwoods Inn |

w16 - The Bad Apple |
** parents' note: The Bad Apple has a side room (and dedicated bathroom!) just for families with kids! A strategic decision to be sure for a restaurant in Lincoln Square.

w8 - Village Tap |

w7 - West Lakeview Liquors |

w2 - 2112 AFC Championship Party |
Lots has changed in the past year. The Nanner is too big to pony up to the bar in the baby carrier anymore, but we're all looking forward to another summer in the backyard.
