Week 152 - Nannerbells

I asked Nanner why she drew Frosty flipping us the bird with both hands.  She just grinned.

Tis the season to get ready for the season.  Frosty the Snowman, Jingle Bells, sugar cookies, and more Frozen than you could melt in hell.

Pleased to report that Nanner didn't brand this Santa Claus as "rude"

Week 151 - The Evil Empires

"Oh jeez...don't start dad"
Disney
Barbie
American Girl
Frozen (okay, I'm guilty of this one)...

...all things that I want to generally steer the Nanner clear of.

Speaking of organizations to avoid...

"Daddy, why are they tearing down the baseball stadium?"
Oh, if only.

Nanner broke into a spontaneous 'O'.

Then our talk got more serious.

Week 150 - Hugging It Out

Later, Nanner went to the Dinosaur Museum; Jane bought an "I Can't Breathe" t-shirt.

Later later, Nanner tried to convince us that she was trying to give the Badger a hug.

Later later later, at the Dinosaur Museum, Nanner and daddy practiced giving hugs.

Week 149 - Badger Invasion

Oh, how nicely you girls coordinated your outfits!

Nanner always get so excited for birthdays.  She's had two already and was stoked for a third.  The love was flowing.

"I'll show her...next week in this very spot..."

Uh oh...she found out that it wasn't a Nanner birthday that we were celebrating, but a Honey Badger birthday.

Week 148 - Caught Up!

"Did you really just bang out fifteen NOW posts this morning?"

All caught up.  Maybe not the most in depth posts that have made it to NOW, but we're going for quantity over quality at this point.  (though quality is maintained by the cuteness of the Nanner)

Week 147 - Funny Faces

She's got the scarf thing down but can't figure out why her toes are still cold.

Nanner and I make funny faces in the mirror after teeth brushing.  I make one up and she copies.

Week 146 - Sickie

You might think that she's squinting from the light but this is Nanner's forced smile.  We'll work on it.

Wifey will tell you that I'm a week or two off here but this virus smacked us all pretty hard and I think it's worth documenting for NOW.

Nanner's dolly fell ill shortly thereafter.

Week 145 - Her Creative Side

Curation

Nanner decided that sitting in the middle of the couch made for a more balanced composition than in the corner

Visual Arts
and Drama.
Nanner is as proud if not prouder of her creation than we are.  And we are damn proud

Week 144 - Lady Nanner

A perfect lady

What makes for a perfect Halloween week?  How about 70 degree weather.  Forget the costumes, we're going to the beach!

"how much snow can we expect by December?"

Jane can't figure out why the horizon is crooked.

Week 143 - Freakshow

I said show me your scariest face.

Circus In The Park.  Nanner had the best seat in the house.

She was just embarrassed that her pops was (still) wearing an O's hat
(that's not fair...Nanner knows a true O's fan is always and O's fan)

Week 142 - Mad Nanner

Show us your Mad face

Part of the back story here is that we live next to a crazy neighbor who uses the internet handle, "Unwrittenkitten".  We think said neighbor is a man.  Utterly mad.

Speak softly and carry...oh, that stick is for Boozer.  Useful on kittens too from what I hear

The real story here is that we went to Madison for the weekend.  Yes, MADison.

(with Uncle Nate lurking) Dried corn kernels plus a kid who likes to pick her nose equals an emergency room visit.  Kernel up the nose plus a crying kid equals a snotty nose and out slides the kernel!
The real reason Nanner was mad in Madison is because later that afternoon we watched the O's get smoked (again) and then swept by KC.  And yes, of course we kept the kernel.

Week 141 - UnFrozen

She's wearing purple so she must be thinking about it subconsciously.

Nanner and I walked through a street festival on Lincoln.  We avoided a 2-hour line of princess-dressed 5 year olds (remember, this is still well before Halloween) waiting to have their photo taken with Princesses Anna and Elsa, I realized that this was possibly the last moment Nanner would remain disinterested.

Yep, here it is.  THE last moment of innocence.

Week 140 - Nannercool

Giraffes are in this year from what I hear

Reassuring her of her coolness, Aunt Amanda showed up with sunglasses just like hers.

Bling

Week 139 - 2 on 1

Poor Piggy

What happened this week?  Not a clue.  Daddy tried combing Anna's hair, Anna tried strangling her piggy, and we all found a way to make group teeth brushing fun.

Well, some of us had fun.

Week 138 - Nannerabidoux

Gramma Rabidoux's cookies.  What else could a Nanner want?

A Nanner vacation.  Requisites include water and a bit of flying.

Water...check.  Life vest...hmm.

Nanner float

Week 137 - Number Five

Nanner knows it's a QB league

Nanner had the tenacity to wear her number five purple shirt to Michigan, on our way to visit the Rabidoux's.

Nanner came out swinging (again, totally inappropriate in a number 27 jersey, but Nanner likes Joe).

Week 136 - Hiatus

Uncooperative is the word.

NOW posts took a little break...I was able to keep up with taking the photos but posting them is a different story.  The next 10 weeks or so have been documented (poorly - see above) but the descriptions of said events are blurry (again - see above).

Best part of this photo is Nanner's little hand.

Week 135 - Breakfast With Daddy

In the past, "breakfast with daddy" has gone hand in hand with day-drinking, so Nanner decided that she'd better hydrate.

I told her we were going out for pancakes and that we'd find a place to sit outside and eat.

Nice deck, wrong table.

Right table, waiting for pancakes.

Worth the wait.

Out to Kitsch'n, the old neighborhood staple.  Happy Daddy, happy Nanner.

Week 134 - Waterworks

Nanner showed her soft side and shared a sad face picture with NOW fans (see frowny face and tears below eyeballs).

Continuing the water theme but without the sensitivity.  Nanner took charge in the backyard. It's okay, Nanner can't tell them apart either.

Somehow the twins managed a wardrobe change between pool filling and pool swimming.  Huh.

Week 133 - Flat Broke and Busted

PBR connect four is all fun in games until you fall flat on your face.  Nanner sustained minor injuries to her lip and knees.  She persevered and the result was one of the best NOW couch shots in recent memory (sadly, Aimee asked me to photoshop out the...um...PBR incident).

One little bump didn't stop the Nanner from having fun.  Luckily for Jane the 2112 isn't a "no shirt no shoes" establishment.
