Week 57 - Down By The Bay

Have you ever seen the Nanner,
look any tanner!?
Where the watermelons grow.

"I might not like going into the water but we sure had fun burying those
schmucks up to their necks in sand.  (Who am I kidding? I don't
even like to touch my feet to the sand...)

The Nanner and mama took a trip to Florida last weekend to see if they could see the sea (the ocean really).  They could, and they fit in some face time with Mimi and Pippi as well as FaceTime with daddy who stayed behind in Chicago.

Week 56 - Cultured

"Valentine's Day? No...I'm not cynical"

The Nanner and Mama trekked downtown on Friday for the "Juicebox" program at the Chicago Cultural Center - music, dance, and theater in a kid-friendly setting.

"You wonder where I got my cynicism from?"

Obviously - what could be more kid-friendly than "quiet please" Experimental Jazz for a group of forty toddlers?  Seriously, whoever is the the most quiet will get a Ernest Dawkins cd as a prize!

Week 55 - The Leave-Behind

"Maybe next time you can leave-behind some
chicken from Kenny Rogers Roasters"

Last weekend my friend Blaise's son Cameron stopped by for a play date.  He and the Nanner got along famously, sharing blocks, cars and a soccer ball.  A few days later, after discovering his soccer ball under the tv cabinet, we realized that Cameron had executed the classic Seinfeld "leave-behind".

A combination more rare than a $2 bill.

Well Mr. Cameron, Nanner has a message for you too, and she is not so subtle.  You are welcome to pay her another visit, but know that her expectations in a young man include athleticism and financial security.

Week 54 - Crabcakes and Football

That's what Maryland DOES!

Nanner is ready for Ray's Last Ride.

"I have a feeling that daddy's getting drunk tonight"

Outfit and balloons headed to our (49er friends') Super Bowl party.
We were not kindly received.  We'll see how the evening goes.
