Week 26 - Welcome Home Nanner

We're finally back home this weekend after lots of travelling.  The Nanner helped me around the house this weekend because Aimee had to work (we've been shuffling our schedules because our daycare is on vacation!!).

she looks like a politician...or used car salesman

Our first task was to put up the '2112' address numbers I had made for the front porch.  Our neighbor Kate joked, "now it looks like an architect lives here".

Aluminum Neutraface > reflective mailbox sticker numbers.  Home sweet 2112.

Week 25 - Thank God I'm a Country Girl

Mama added a Tigers hat to her Orioles outfit
and immediately confusion set in.

The Nanner took her first airplane ride, met her cousins for the first time, touched a crustacean, rocked Uncle Nate's wedding, and bounced along to "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" during the 7th inning stretch at Camden Yards.

Not quite crabcakes and football, but
'steamed crabs and baseball' anyone?

Anna enjoyed every minute (i.e. she did not sleep a peep).  Not on the airplane, not during the 2 hours we spent at the rental car place, and certainly not in the car.  But she was a real trooper throughout.

If you look closely, you can see Anna licking the last of Boog's BBQ
sauce off of her fingers.

Week 24 - Nanner Firsts

The Nanner experienced a couple of firsts this week - a train ride and the pool.  We took the Amtrak to Michigan to visit Aimee's family and the 98 degree heat drove us to the swimming pool.

"...daddy don't drop me, daddy don't drop me, daddy don't drop me..."

This week coming up (starting tonight actually), the Nanner will be flying for the first time and then Sunday will be her first Orioles game!  Stay tuned for pictures of each.

Week 23 - One if by Land, Two if by Nanner

Yep, still a week behind but we're getting there.  The Nanner begged me to wear my Evel Knievel helmet for our 4th of July bbq but I told her she'd have to wait until next year.  Luckily, our friend Sean Duffy arrived with his Brett Michaels-esque headband to celebrate the holiday (unluckily for us, the 103 degree temperature resulted in him deciding not to wear his American flag pants - yep, stripes on one leg and stars on the other - understandably, they were polyester).

This past weekend also marked the move-in of our house-mate Uncle Paul.  We closed on the building on Wednesday the 27th, Carey the LL moved out on Saturday, Paul moved in on Saturday night, and he promptly demo'd the ceiling, kitchen cabinets, and wood paneling on Sunday.  The Nanner helped bring some class to the construction zone when she visited later in the week.  Paul already had all of the drywall up and I was helping him trim out the doors and windows.

We're still waiting on the official '2112' signage to arrive.

Week 22 - NoNannerforawhile

Oops, I got off the blog wagon for a while.  I was waiting to post the baby pic of me and the giraffe and then a few weeks just sort of slipped by.  But this shot was officially taken during the 22nd calendar week, so we're going to count it.

And another father's day session pic, yes, but she's so G.D. cute.  Promise that this week's post (well, from last weekend), will be current and exciting photos.
